Here's how the multiple claim feature works:

  • You can make up to three (3) separate claims, as long as each claim comes from. a different group.
  • A second cancer claim may also be allowed under specific conditions.
  • All claims are subject to the policy's terms and conditions.

If the insured is diagnosed with any of the covered Major/Late-Stage Critical Illness, the insured will receive 100% of the Major CI Benefit Amount minus:

  • Any prior minor CI claims
  • Any outstanding policy debts

Additionally, once the Major CI claim is approved, AIA Philippines will waive all the future premiums through the Waiver of  Premium for Multi-Pay CI (WPMPCI) benefit.

This allows the insured to focus on recovery without worrying about payments.

Yes.

In case of the Insured's untimely passing, the plan provides financial support to loved ones and will be based on the two (2) scenarios below:

  1. Before any Major CI claim: 100% of the plan's Face Amount less any Minor CI claim and policy debts.
  2. After a Major CI claim: 20% of the Face Amount, or up to P1,000,000 whichever is lower, less any policy debts.

This ensures the beneficiaries receives meaningful support whether or not a critical illness claim has been made.

No, not within the first two (2) years of your policy's start date or reinstatement. If the insured dies by suicide during this period, we will refund the total premiums paid, but no death benefit will be given.

However:

  • If suicide occurs while in the state of insanity, the death benefit will be paid regardless of when it happens.
  • This rule only applies if no Major Critical Illness claim has been made.

If a Major CI claim has already been paid, no death benefit or premium refund will be provided.

Once the insured has made their third Major CI claim, the policy will end, and all benefits will stop (including the Death Benefit).

Yes.

If the insured is diagnosed with any of the listed covered Minor Critical Illness, they will receive 25% of their plan's Face Amount or up to 1,000,000 whichever is lower (less any policy debts).

This benefit will be advanced from the policy's Face Amount. For Early Thyroid Cancer, benefit amount is limited up to 10% of the Plan's Face Amount or 1,000,000 whichever is lower.

This benefit can only be claimed once.

This early payout helps you act fast and stay financially secure.

The maximum total benefit you can claim is up to 300% of your plan's Face Amount.

  • Major/Late Stage Critical Illness Benefit
    • 100% of the Face Amount per claim
    • Claimable up to three (3) times (from different illness groups)
  • Minor/Early Stage Critical Illness Benefit
    • 25% of the Face Amount of PhP1,000,000 whichever is lower
  • Death Benefit
    • 100% of the Face Amount if no Major CI claims have been made
    • 20% of the Face amount if there has been any Major CI claim

This means that across all eligible claims under these benefits, the total payout will not exceed 300% of your plan's face amount, subject to the policy's terms and conditions.

AIA Critical Protect Plus offers add-on benefits that give you extra protection and more peace of mind:

No.

Critical Care Assist provides coverage only if you've had a major surgery on one of the vital organs due to illness or accident:

  • Heart or major blood vessels
  • Brain or central nervous system
  • Kidneys
  • Lungs
  • Liver

And the insured must be admitted to the ICU for at least 5 consecutive days in the same hospital stay, requiring life support treatment such as:

  • Ventilator-assisted breathing
  • ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
  • IABP (Intra-aortic Balloon Pump)
  • Dialysis or total parenteral nutrition

All surgeries must be performed in a hospital in the Philippines. This ensures support is provided during the most critical moments of recovery.

The critical illness coverage starts 90 days after the policy is issued (or reinstated.)

This short waiting period helps ensure long-term protection and peace of mind.

Not exactly. Multiple claims have their own waiting periods:

  • 1st Major CI claim: Covered after 90 days from policy start or reinstatement
  • 2nd Major CI claim: Can be made 12 months after approval of 1st claim
  • 3rd Major CI claim: Can be made 12 months after approval of 2nd claim.

For a second cancer claim, the insured must complete a 3-year "cancer-free" period from the date they were declared cancer-free by their doctor.

"Cancer-Free" means the insured has not had any cancer recurrence for a continuous period of three (3) years, as confirmed by the attending physician. This confirmation must be supported by medical evidence, including clinical, radiological, histological, and laboratory tests.

The cancer-free period begins after completing all prescribed cancer treatments, which may include:

  • Surgery
  • Chemotherapy
  • Radiation therapy
  • Immunotherapy
  • Monoclonal antibody therapy
  • Any other conventional cancer treatments recommended by the attending physician
